Magical Mayhem
A learning Project where I focused on Game mechanics and player feedback
This projects challenges included implementing turrets that could track and fire projectiles at the player as well as introducing two movement mechanics that could be activated by the player and showcased visually before activating. This project also included the use of a "spell book" that would allow the player to cycle through their prepared spells.
Difficulties
This was one of my earliest games utilizing Unreal Engine and node based code. I struggled at first with the challenge of compartmentalizing all of the functions that are readily available within the software and overall I wish I could have implemented UI to match up with the abilities being used.
